Senior CAD Designer

Job Summary

To support a multi-discipline project team, the part-time Senior CAD Designer will develop accurate 2D drawing packages using CAD software, ensuring compliance with client and company standards while working remotely from anywhere in the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare design deliverables in CAD, including layouts, plans, and schematic drawings
• Utilize design software to draft, check, and revise designs, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Collaborate with engineers and other disciplines to resolve design issues and maintain project schedules

Required qualifications

• Associate's degree in Computer Aided Design Technology or a bachelor's degree in engineering technology, or equivalent technical experience
• Ten or more years of detailed CAD design experience in power projects
• Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, Bentley Microstation, and Autodesk Navisworks
• Ability to interface with engineering and design teams across disciplines
• Experience in producing detailed drawings for various project types, including civil and mechanical layouts
