Senior Capacity Planning Engineer

Job Summary

Focused on aligning supply planning strategy with infrastructure capacity needs, the full-time remote Senior Capacity Planning Engineer will manage hardware deployments, collaborate across teams, and drive data-driven capacity insights to support F5's global infrastructure growth.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute supply planning strategies to optimize inventory levels and meet global infrastructure expansion needs
• Drive end-to-end capacity planning, ensuring hardware deployments meet performance standards, cost targets, and delivery timelines
• Build and refine demand forecasting models that align infrastructure requirements with business growth signals and customer needs

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure capacity planning or a related discipline, with a proven track record in capacity planning functions
• Demonstrated expertise in compute capacity planning at scale, including experience with demand forecast models and capacity roadmaps
• Background in hyperscale or SaaS environments, with a strong understanding of compute architecture
• Proficiency in analytical tools and methods for building capacity models, such as Python, SQL, or advanced Excel
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
