Senior Cash Specialist

Job Summary

To support the Financial Operations team, the remote Senior Cash Specialist will be responsible for the accurate application of insurance premium payments, reconciliation of accounts receivable, and resolution of cash discrepancies while providing guidance to team members.

Key responsibilities

• Research and process daily cash receipts, applying payments to the correct customer accounts and transactions
• Reconcile remittances to accounts receivable balances and investigate discrepancies
• Review and resolve unapplied and unallocated cash items, correcting misapplied cash as needed

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) with 3 to 5 years in accounts receivable, cash application, or general accounting
• Strong knowledge of accounts receivable and general accounting principles
• Property & Casualty insurance experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Experience handling complex reconciliations and cash application issues
