Senior Category Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Category Manager Senior to manage activities associated with Direct Material products category.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage complex multi-year supplier relationships and strategic sourcing activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify cost-saving initiatives and drive value in the supply chain
• Negotiate supplier contracts and analyze market conditions to prepare market analysis reports

Required Qualifications

• BA or BS degree in Supply Chain/Operations Management or a related field
• 7 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment with strategic Procurement/Supply Chain experience
• Proven success in supplier management and sourcing in low-cost regions
• Experience working in a matrix-driven organization and with multiple global locations
• General knowledge of direct material categories such as steel, resin, and forgings is a plus
