Senior Chargemaster Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Charge Description Master Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure Chargemaster compliance with coding and billing regulations and maintain accurate representation of services provided
• Act as a liaison between hospital ministries and the Revenue Integrity/Chargemaster Department, addressing inquiries and coordinating CDM maintenance requests
• Train hospital staff on CDM processes, coding updates, and charge capture improvement, while documenting policies and procedures

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Nursing, Sciences, Finance, Accounting or related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years of hospital chargemaster experience, including familiarity with CDM Maintenance software and billing requirements
• 3 years of operational performance improvement and/or project management experience
• 5 years of experience working with Hospital EMR related to Chargemaster, preferably Epic EAP
• 3 years of experience with CDM Maintenance tools/software such as Craneware, Vitalware, or nThrive
