Senior Chargemaster Specialist

Job Summary

To ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations, the full-time Senior Chargemaster Specialist will manage the Chargemaster, liaise with hospital ministries, and provide training on charge capture processes in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily Chargemaster maintenance workflow and monitor compliance with PSJH System standards
• Research and resolve Chargemaster maintenance requests while responding to inquiries from hospital ministries
• Document policies and procedures related to Chargemaster maintenance and charge processes

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Nursing, Sciences, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent education/experience
• Minimum of 5 years of hospital chargemaster experience, including knowledge of coding principles and billing requirements
• 3 years of operational performance improvement and/or project management experience
• 5 years of experience with hospital EMR related to Chargemaster, preferably Epic EAP
• 3 years of experience with Chargemaster maintenance tools/software such as Craneware, Vitalware, or nThrive
