Senior Chargemaster Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Chargemaster Specialist will ensure Chargemaster compliance with coding and billing regulations, act as a liaison between hospital ministries and the Revenue Integrity/Chargemaster Department, and provide training on CDM maintenance processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily Chargemaster maintenance workflow and monitor compliance with PSJH System standards
• Respond to inquiries regarding Chargemaster issues and document policies and procedures related to CDM maintenance
• Collaborate with clinical departments and technology teams on projects impacting charge entry and interfaces

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Nursing, Sciences, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years of hospital chargemaster experience, including familiarity with CDM maintenance software
• 3 years of operational performance improvement and/or project management experience
• 5 years of experience with hospital EMR systems related to Chargemaster, preferably Epic EAP
• 3 years of experience with CDM maintenance tools/software such as Craneware, Vitalware, or nThrive
