Senior Chargemaster Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Chargemaster Specialist will manage Chargemaster compliance, serve as a liaison between hospital ministries and the Revenue Integrity team, and oversee training related to charge capture and coding updates.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure Chargemaster accuracy and adherence to coding and billing regulations
• Coordinate daily Chargemaster maintenance workflow and respond to inquiries from hospital ministries
• Document policies and procedures for Chargemaster maintenance and charge processes

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Nursing, Sciences, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of hospital chargemaster experience, including knowledge of coding principles
• 3 years of operational performance improvement or project management experience
• 5 years of experience working with hospital EMR related to Chargemaster, preferably Epic EAP
• 3 years of experience with Chargemaster maintenance tools/software such as Craneware or Vitalware
