Senior Chargemaster Specialist

Job Summary

To support the PSJH System Revenue Integrity Chargemaster team, the full-time Senior Chargemaster Specialist will ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations, serve as a liaison for Chargemaster issues, and facilitate training for hospital staff while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Chargemaster maintenance workflow and ensure adherence to PSJH System standards
• Respond to inquiries regarding Chargemaster issues and provide training on coding updates and charge capture improvement
• Collaborate with clinical departments and technology teams on projects impacting charge entry and compliance

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Nursing, Sciences, Finance, Accounting, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 5 years of hospital chargemaster experience, including knowledge of coding principles and billing requirements
• 3 years of experience in operational performance improvement or project management
• 5 years of experience with hospital EMR systems related to Chargemaster, preferably Epic EAP
• 3 years of experience with CDM Maintenance tools/software such as Craneware, Vitalware, or nThrive
