Senior Chargemaster Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior Chargemaster Specialist will ensure Chargemaster compliance, manage CDM maintenance requests, and provide training to hospital staff on coding and billing regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the Chargemaster to ensure accuracy and compliance with coding and billing regulations
• Act as a liaison between hospital ministries and the Revenue Integrity/Chargemaster department, addressing inquiries and resolving issues
• Coordinate daily CDM maintenance workflows and document policies and procedures related to charge processes

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Nursing, Sciences, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent education/experience
• Minimum of 5 years of hospital chargemaster experience, including knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 coding principles
• 3 years of operational performance improvement and/or project management experience
• 5 years of experience with hospital EMR systems related to Chargemaster, preferably Epic EAP
• 3 years of experience with CDM maintenance tools/software such as Craneware, Vitalware, or nThrive
