Senior Chargemaster Specialist

Job Summary

Ensuring compliance with coding and billing regulations, the full-time Senior Chargemaster Specialist will manage the Chargemaster maintenance process, act as a liaison between hospital ministries and the Revenue Integrity team, and provide training to hospital staff, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee the Chargemaster maintenance workflow and ensure alignment with system standards
• Respond to inquiries regarding Chargemaster issues and provide training on coding updates and charge capture improvement
• Collaborate with clinical departments and technology personnel to ensure compliance and support charge entry processes

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Nursing, Sciences, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 5 years of hospital chargemaster experience, including knowledge of inpatient and outpatient billing requirements
• 3 years of operational performance improvement or project management experience
• 5 years of experience with hospital EMR related to Chargemaster, preferably Epic EAP
• 3 years of experience with CDM maintenance tools/software such as Craneware, Vitalware, or nThrive
