Senior CICS System Programmer

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Senior CICS System Programmer will maintain and optimize CICS environments on IBM z/OS systems, leveraging technical expertise in system integration, software maintenance, and performance tuning while collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance operational resilience.

Key responsibilities:

• Configure, maintain, and optimize CICS environments to ensure high system resilience across multi-LPAR, Parallel Sysplex environments
• Create and manage CICS regions, troubleshoot stability issues, and support teams with resource definitions
• Diagnose and resolve system incidents using monitoring tools and support the integration of z/OS Connect APIs

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree OR 10+ years of system programming experience
• 8+ years of system programming experience, including z/OS skills with TSO, JCL, and RACF
• 7+ years of CICS system programming experience, including upgrades and applying RSUs
• 7+ years of experience with multiple z/OS file types and IT Service Management (ITSM) processes
• Ability to work on-call to support 24x7 operations as part of a scheduled rotation
