Senior Cisco CUCM Consultant
Job Summary
To support a planned upgrade of the organization's Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) environment, the contract Senior Cisco CUCM Consultant will manage the upgrade from version 14.x to 15.x, develop project plans, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure a successful migration.
Key responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive project plan, including upgrade strategy and rollback procedures for the CUCM upgrade
- Create and securely store backups of the existing CUCM production cluster and build a lab environment that mirrors production
- Perform the CUCM upgrade in the lab, validate the upgraded environment, and provide post-cutover support to ensure stability
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience with Cisco Unified Communications/Collaboration technologies
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco CUCM administration, architecture, troubleshooting, and upgrades
- Demonstrated experience performing CUCM version upgrades, specifically from 14.x to 15.x
- Experience working with large, multi-node CUCM clusters, including 10+ node environments
- Hands-on experience with Cisco UCS, VMware, and virtualized CUCM deployments
