Senior Civil Engineer PE

Job Summary

Leading utility-scale solar photovoltaic projects, the full-time Senior Civil Engineer PE will manage civil engineering design, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage civil engineering design projects, ensuring effective communication and coordination with clients and internal teams
• Provide guidance and mentorship to engineers while reviewing designs for quality and compliance
• Develop comprehensive plans, specifications, and observation reports in accordance with utility-scale solar engineering practices

Required qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program or equivalent
• Civil Professional Engineer (PE) registration required; NCEES Council Record preferred
• Minimum of 10-12+ years of civil engineering experience, with at least 8+ years in utility-scale solar design
• Proficient in large-scale solar grading design and earthwork calculations
• Experience with stormwater management and permitting is highly desired
