Job Summary

Analyzing and investigating claims to ensure compliance and timely payment of benefits, the full-time Senior Claims Administrator will work remotely to respond to inquiries from agents and policyholders, process complex beneficiary changes, and collaborate with peers to maintain consistent claim interpretations.

Key responsibilities:
  • Adjudicates individual/group life, annuity, and critical illness claims for accurate and timely benefit payments
  • Processes complicated beneficiary and ownership changes and investigates pre-existing health information for contestability issues
  • Trains new claims team members and assists current staff with processing issues while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
Required qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in insurance or business administration, or equivalent relevant experience
  • Three years of experience in life, annuity, and/or health claims or related fields
  • LOMA and/or International Claims Association (ICA) certifications preferred
  • Strong knowledge of life, annuity, and critical claims processing regulations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Outlook, Access, and insurance administration systems
