Job Summary
Managing a portfolio of moderate to complex bodily injury, personal injury protection, and general liability property damage claims, the full-time Senior Claims Representative will evaluate coverage, determine liability, assess damages, and negotiate settlements in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Take ownership of claims from investigation through resolution, utilizing analytical and critical thinking skills
- Maintain accurate reserves, manage files effectively, and present claims to committees as needed
- Draft reservation of rights and coverage denial letters while ensuring compliance with quality and audit standards
Required qualifications
- At least 2-3 years of experience handling complex casualty claims, particularly in bodily injury and general liability property damage
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field is preferred
- AINS and/or AIC designations are advantageous
- Strong understanding of policy language, endorsements, contracts, and risk transfer agreements
- Proven negotiation and communication skills with a commitment to exceptional customer service
