Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior or Complex Claims Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze, investigate, and evaluate losses to determine coverage and claim disposition
  • Establish appropriate reserves for indemnity and expenses, manage the litigation process, and participate in mediations and arbitrations
  • Provide claims marketing services, maintain insurance adjuster licenses, and actively participate in the claims audit process

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's and/or advanced degree
  • 7+ years claims/legal experience, with at least 2 years within a technical specialty preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of claims handling concepts, practices, and techniques, law, and insurance regulations
  • Functional knowledge of law and insurance regulations in various jurisdictions
  • Demonstrated advanced analytical, decision-making, and negotiation skills
