Senior Claims Technical Director

Job Summary

Managing a significant inventory of complex claims, the full-time Senior Claims Technical Director will conduct thorough investigations, assess coverage and liability, and formulate strategic approaches to claim resolution, with opportunities for both onsite and remote work.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough investigations and critically assess coverage and liability for complex claims
• Analyze and negotiate settlements, participating in arbitrations, mediations, and trials as needed
• Serve as the technical expert on products, providing strategic recommendations to executive management

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Risk Management and Insurance, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• A minimum of 18 years of experience in property and casualty claims handling
• Completion of a professional designation, such as Associate in Claims (AIC), is preferred
• Extensive technical knowledge and skills in both product and industry
• Accountability for achieving performance targets and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
