Senior Cloud Data Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Senior Cloud Data Engineer, the candidate will architect and implement cloud-based solutions for the Department of War's Test & Evaluation community, working in a hybrid environment in Huntsville, AL.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, secure data storage solutions on Azure cloud infrastructure
• Develop and maintain robust data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and distribution of large-scale datasets
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product roadmaps and mentor junior engineers

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure
• 3+ years designing and implementing data engineering solutions in production environments
• 2+ years working with Department of War or federal government systems and security requirements
• Proficiency in Python and/or PowerShell for automation and data processing
