Senior Cloud Database Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Database Engineer responsible for ensuring the scalability, performance, and reliability of cloud-based database solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop database-centric automation using infrastructure as Code (IAC), CI/CD processes, and scripting
• Collaborate with Engineering and DevOps teams to promote cloud database best practices and support legacy technologies
• Participate in architectural discussions and improve incident response processes for production databases

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years supporting general database solutions
• 8-10 years of experience with cloud-native database solutions like Aurora, DynamoDB, and PostgreSQL
• Experience with Data Lake/Data Warehouse best practices and Snowflake database management
• Automation experience using scripting tools such as Python and Bash
• Knowledge of database security and compliance best practices
