Senior Cloud Engineer

Job Summary

Supporting a federal contract, the remote contract Senior Data Dog Cloud Engineer will engineer and operate the enterprise observability platform, focusing on instrumenting services, building and tuning Datadog tools, and resolving performance and reliability issues in a 24x7 environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Engineer and operate the enterprise observability stack, including metrics, logs, traces, and monitoring tools
• Build, tune, and maintain dashboards, monitors, and alerting policies for performance and reliability
• Lead investigations and resolutions of complex performance issues using telemetry data

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or platform engineering roles
• 5+ years of experience in observability, performance engineering, or site reliability engineering
• Experience with enterprise observability platforms, preferably Datadog
• Proven ability to lead complex performance problem-solving from telemetry to remediation
