Senior Cloud Engineer

Job Summary

Supporting the SEC ISS contract, the full-time Senior Cloud Engineer will engineer, operate, and enhance the enterprise observability platform across hybrid cloud and containerized environments, focusing on Datadog and related technologies to solve performance and reliability issues.

Key responsibilities

• Engineer and operate the enterprise observability stack, including metrics, logs, traces, and APM
• Design monitoring coverage for Microsoft Azure and AWS workloads, ensuring effective observability across cloud-native services
• Lead data-driven investigations to resolve complex performance and reliability issues, providing senior technical leadership during major incidents

Required qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure or platform engineering roles, with 5+ years focused on observability or performance engineering
• Demonstrated experience with enterprise observability platforms, preferably Datadog
• Proven experience in building APM and distributed tracing coverage for production applications
• Hands-on experience with monitoring Kubernetes or OpenShift clusters in production
• Ability to obtain and maintain SEC Public Trust clearance
