Senior Cloud Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the design, deployment, and optimization of hybrid cloud infrastructures, the full-time Senior Cloud Engineer will support a large Air Force IT enterprise in San Antonio, TX, utilizing platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI while mentoring junior engineers and ensuring compliance with security standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain hybrid cloud infrastructures across various platforms using IaaS and PaaS solutions
• Administer and optimize virtualization platforms and automate deployments using Infrastructure-as-Code tools
• Monitor cloud environments for performance and troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues

Required qualifications

• BS degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 6+ years of relevant experience
• DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent)
• Advanced cloud certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert)
• Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI
