Senior Cloud Engineer

Job Summary

Owning OTA and firmware management for the backend platform, the remote Senior Cloud Engineer will manage the cloud side of firmware publishing, device eligibility, and rollout delivery in a 4-month contract role.

Key responsibilities:

• Implement firmware release models and manage progressive rollouts with eligibility rules and version controls
• Build reporting systems for rollout observability and design APIs for firmware, QA, and support teams
• Define infrastructure as code and ensure safety measures are in place for OTA operations

Required qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience building production backend services in the cloud with strong hands-on Go or another statically typed language
• Deep AWS experience, including serverless and container services such as Lambda, ECS, and S3
• Direct experience with OTA, firmware distribution, or high-stakes rollout systems
• Strong data modeling skills, particularly with DynamoDB for versioned and immutable data
• Experience with infrastructure as code, preferably using CDK, and a focus on security best practices
