Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely across various U.S. time zones, the full-time Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will design, implement, and manage secure cloud infrastructure solutions while providing hands-on support and mentoring for application teams in a large financial institution.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deploy scalable, resilient, and secure cloud architectures for critical applications
• Develop Infrastructure as Code solutions and optimize cloud configurations for security, performance, and cost-effectiveness
• Provide 24/7 on-call support and maintain technical documentation to facilitate knowledge transfer within the team

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
• Eight years of experience in cloud engineering roles within a large financial institution
• Expertise in multiple cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Advanced proficiency in programming languages like Bash, Python, or Go, and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform
• Experience with cloud security, regulatory compliance, and CI/CD pipeline design
