Senior Cloud Network Engineer

Job Summary

To support critical public-sector initiatives, the remote Senior Cloud Network Engineer will design, implement, and manage cloud-based networking solutions while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance software engineering processes.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and manage cloud network architectures, ensuring integration with existing systems
• Mentor junior engineers and lead small project teams to foster skill development and collaboration
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues, utilizing incidents for system improvements and educational opportunities

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of engineering experience, with relevant experience substituting for education
• Expert-level knowledge in at least one technical area, such as frontend, backend, or infrastructure engineering
• Proficiency in major cloud service providers, preferably AWS and Azure
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and routing protocols
• Professional certification in cloud networking or related fields (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Cisco CCNA)
