Senior Cloud Operations Engineer

Job Summary

To architect and evolve secure, scalable cloud infrastructure for a high-growth cybersecurity SaaS platform, the full-time Senior Cloud Operations Engineer will manage AWS and AWS GovCloud environments, drive Infrastructure as Code initiatives, and lead incident management efforts while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Own the architecture and operation of secure, scalable AWS and AWS GovCloud infrastructure supporting the SaaS platform
• Set technical direction for Infrastructure as Code, establishing standards and reusable modules for the engineering team
• Lead the observability strategy and serve as incident commander for high-severity production events

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure
• 8+ years in Cloud Ops, SRE, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering with a track record of senior/architectural ownership
• Deep AWS expertise, including experience with EC2, VPC, IAM, and S3; AWS GovCloud experience preferred
• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation
• Expert-level experience with Kubernetes and Docker, including decision-making on orchestration and architectural trade-offs
