Senior Cloud Platform Engineer

Job Summary

Leading the technical strategy for Platform Services, the remote contract Senior Cloud Platform Engineer will influence architectural decisions for centralized platform APIs, CI components, and automated workflows while mentoring engineers and ensuring compliance with FedRAMP High and IL5 standards.

Key responsibilities:

• Set the technical strategy for Platform Services supporting FedRAMP High and IL5
• Own architectural decisions for centralized platform APIs and automated service onboarding
• Lead the transition from manual to automated federal promotion processes

Required qualifications:

• 8-12+ years of experience in SRE, platform engineering, or cloud operations
• Demonstrated technical leadership across multi-team infrastructure programs
• Strong software engineering skills in Python, Go, Ruby, or similar languages
• Deep experience operating large-scale cloud or hybrid-cloud systems
• Strong understanding of CI/CD, Kubernetes, and production incident response
