Senior Cloud Security Architect

Job Summary

Leading the design and implementation of secure cloud architectures, the part-time Senior Cloud Security Architect will collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate security throughout the software development lifecycle in a remote contract role.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted security advisor, translating complex security concepts into practical guidance for engineering and product teams
• Define and promote secure architecture standards and conduct architecture reviews and security assessments for cloud infrastructure
• Develop security testing strategies and integrate automated security controls into CI/CD pipelines while monitoring emerging cloud security trends

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Eight or more years of experience designing enterprise infrastructure and application security architectures
• Extensive experience with cloud-native architectures and strong understanding of cloud security principles, including AWS services
• Experience implementing security controls within regulated environments and performing threat modeling and architecture reviews
• Deep knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD pipelines, along with expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM)
