Senior Cloud Security Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a hands-on Senior Cloud Security Engineer for a 6+ month remote contract role, responsible for AWS security engineering, security automation, and application protection at an enterprise scale.

Key responsibilities:

• Implement and manage AWS security features including IAM, CloudTrail, and WAF
• Develop security automation solutions using Python, JavaScript, and PowerShell
• Conduct incident response, log analysis, and risk-driven security engineering to enhance security posture

Required qualifications:

• Proven experience in AWS security engineering and cloud-native architectures
• Strong knowledge of security automation and Infrastructure as Code tools like AWS CDK and CloudFormation
• Experience with SIEM tools and detection engineering practices
• Familiarity with CI/CD security integration and automated remediation workflows
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Security Specialty, GCIA, GCIH, or Security+ preferred
