Senior CNC Programmer

Job Summary

To support a precision CNC machine shop's automated production model, the remote hourly Senior CNC Programmer will develop efficient 5-axis simultaneous toolpaths for tight-tolerance aluminum components, while providing DFM feedback and verifying programs using VERICUT.

Key responsibilities

• Review incoming RFQs, models, and drawings to assess machinability and production feasibility
• Develop robust 5-axis toolpaths in Mastercam and deliver production-ready NC code and documentation
• Collaborate with the shop on tooling selection and provide responsive DFM support during quoting

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of CNC programming experience with significant 5-axis machining expertise
• Expert-level proficiency in Mastercam multiaxis programming
• Strong experience with tight-tolerance aluminum components and materials like 6061-T6 or 7075-T6
• Proficiency in reading SOLIDWORKS models and interpreting GD&T on engineering drawings
• Experience with machine simulation and verification, preferably using VERICUT
