Senior CNC Programmer
Job Summary
To support a precision machine shop's automated production model, the contract Senior CNC Programmer will work remotely, focusing on developing and verifying production-ready 5-axis programs for tight-tolerance aluminum components while providing DFM feedback and RFQ support.
Key responsibilities
- Review incoming RFQs, models, and drawings to assess machinability and production feasibility
- Develop efficient 5-axis simultaneous toolpaths in Mastercam and verify programs using simulation tools
- Post-process and deliver production-ready NC code, tool lists, and operator handoff documentation
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of CNC programming experience with significant 5-axis machining experience
- Expert-level Mastercam multiaxis programming experience
- Strong experience with tight-tolerance aluminum components, such as 6061-T6 and 7075-T6
- Proficiency in reading SOLIDWORKS models and interpreting GD&T on engineering drawings
- Experience with machine simulation and verification, preferably using Eureka or equivalent tools
