Senior COBOL Developer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior COBOL Developer to support a modernization initiative within mainframe print solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and document existing print-related COBOL copybooks and CTG programs
• Design and implement a cohesive structure to reduce copybook complexity
• Develop and unit test CICS and batch COBOL programs

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on COBOL development experience in a mainframe environment
• Strong knowledge of CICS, JCL, and VSAM
• Experience with CTG (CICS Transaction Gateway) programs and integration with non-mainframe systems
• Familiarity with spooler systems and print processing in mainframe environments
• Ability to reverse engineer and document legacy systems
