Senior COBOL Developer

Job Summary

Supporting mission-critical federal tax processing applications, the full-time Senior COBOL / Unisys Developer will develop, maintain, and enhance legacy COBOL applications in a remote Unisys ClearPath OS 2200 environment while collaborating with technical teams to implement system enhancements and resolve production issues.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, test, and support COBOL applications in a Unisys ClearPath OS 2200 environment
• Analyze business requirements and implement application enhancements
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 7+ years of COBOL development experience
• 3+ years working in a Unisys ClearPath OS 2200 environment
• Experience with Batch COBOL, ECL 2200, and SQL/DB2
• Strong experience supporting legacy mainframe applications and production support
