Senior COBOL Programmer
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Senior COBOL Programmer will analyze change requests, code and test in a COBOL/Db2/Mainframe environment, and support batch processes related to Navy Personnel data.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze change requests and perform coding and testing in a COBOL/Db2/Mainframe environment
- Support batch processes that apply Navy Personnel data from multiple sources to the NPDB
- Perform data cleansing on database tables and resolve data capture issues as needed
Required qualifications
- 5 years of experience with COBOL, including writing, testing, and documenting code
- 5 years of experience with Db2 SQL, including writing and testing SQL
- 5 years of experience with JCL (z/OS), including writing and documenting conditional JCL and utilities
- 2 years of experience with TSO/ISPF, including working with partitioned data sets and file utilities
- High school diploma or GED required
