Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Coding Specialist with experience in Facility Coding, Observation, and Emergency Medicine.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop efficient workflows for complex coding work to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Utilize coding classification systems to ensure accurate code selection and address documentation gaps
• Provide guidance and support to coding staff on complex coding scenarios and stay updated on coding regulations

Required Qualifications

• 4 years of relevant work experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• Certifications such as Certified Coding Associate or Certified Coding Specialist from AHIMA or AAPC
• Advanced knowledge in medical professional and outpatient facility coding
• Understanding of medical terminology and documentation
