Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Coding Specialist, Ortho.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop efficient workflows to organize and prioritize complex coding work to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital targets
• Utilize designated coding classification systems and guidelines to ensure accurate code selection and reflect appropriate codes during patient encounters
• Proactively identify documentation gaps or inconsistencies that may impact code assignment and initiate coding queries to clarify documentation

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High School Diploma or GED
• 4 years of relevant work experience
• Certifications such as Certified Coding Associate, Certified Coding Specialist, or Certified Professional Coder
• Advanced knowledge in medical professional and outpatient facility coding
• Understanding of medical terminology and documentation in healthcare settings
