Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Coding Specialist with Anesthesia Coding experience who will work remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop efficient workflows to prioritize complex coding work ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
• Utilize coding classification systems to ensure accurate code selection and reflect appropriate codes during patient encounters
• Identify documentation gaps impacting code assignment and provide guidance to coding staff on complex scenarios

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• 4 years of relevant work experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• Certifications such as Certified Coding Associate or Certified Coding Specialist from AHIMA or AAPC
• Advanced knowledge in medical professional and outpatient facility coding
• Understanding of compliance regulations and documentation standards
