Senior Collector - Charge Off

Job Summary

Managing a portfolio of accounts that are 81+ days delinquent, the full-time remote Senior Collector - Charge Off will utilize advanced collection strategies to resolve overdue payments and handle complex high-risk cases.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement suitable collection strategies for high-risk delinquent accounts while negotiating payment arrangements with customers
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and ensure timely reporting of account statuses and collection efforts to management
• Resolve complex disputes and provide training and support to junior collectors to enhance team performance and customer satisfaction

Required qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; degree preferred
• Minimum of 2 years in auto finance operations with extensive experience in collections or debt recovery
• Advanced negotiation skills with a proven ability to manage complex or high-risk accounts
• Strong understanding of collections practices and legal regulations related to debt recovery
• Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and train junior team members
