Senior Commercial Counsel

Job Summary

To support a growing legal team, the full-time Senior Commercial Counsel will manage a wide range of commercial transactions, focusing on SaaS and data licensing agreements, while working remotely and collaborating with various internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Independently review, draft, and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including SaaS and data licensing contracts
• Provide guidance on data privacy laws and assist in the development of internal compliance policies
• Advise on legal considerations related to AI-enabled products and support the implementation of AI governance policies

Required qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active membership in a U.S. state bar
• 6+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably in technology or law firms representing technology clients
• Exceptional contract drafting and negotiation skills, particularly in SaaS and data transactions
• Experience advising on data privacy and compliance matters relevant to SaaS companies
• Working knowledge of AI-related legal considerations and proficiency with legal technology tools
