Job Summary
To support a growing legal team, the full-time Senior Commercial Counsel (State Licensed) will manage a variety of commercial transactions and legal matters, focusing on SaaS and data licensing agreements while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Independently review, draft, and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including SaaS and data licensing contracts
- Provide guidance on privacy, data protection laws, and AI-related legal considerations while collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Contribute to legal operations by improving templates, processes, and contract lifecycle management tools
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar
- 6+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably in a technology company or law firm focused on technology clients
- Exceptional contract drafting and negotiation skills, particularly in SaaS and data transactions
- Working knowledge of data privacy laws and AI-related legal considerations
- Proficiency with contract management systems and legal technology tools
