Senior Commercial Counsel - US Licensed

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Commercial Counsel to support Sales, partnerships, and product development in a regulated fintech environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements within the payments and financial services ecosystem
• Act as a strategic legal partner to Sales, advising on deal structure and negotiation strategy
• Partner with Product, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure regulatory compliance in product development

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of legal experience, with a focus on commercial contracting; 10+ years preferred
• JD (or equivalent) and active bar membership in at least one US jurisdiction
• Experience in fintech, payments, or consumer finance, advising on regulatory considerations
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across functions
• Practical experience with AI-enabled legal tools or contract lifecycle management systems
