Senior Commercial Underwriter

Job Summary

Responsible for underwriting loans in a timely manner, the full-time Senior Commercial Underwriter will manage the entire underwriting process for equipment finance, ensuring an acceptable level of credit risk while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Underwrites a wide range of lending products efficiently and in accordance with credit policies
• Collaborates with Business Development Officers to provide consultative credit perspectives and reviews new deal packages
• Prepares credit narratives for approval, negotiates closing documentation, and mentors junior staff

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and work experience
• 5+ years of relevant experience in commercial underwriting
• Strong business acumen and customer focus
• Proven collaboration and negotiation skills
• Ability to adapt to various IT systems and procedures
