Senior Communications Manager

Job Summary

To support the promotion of scientific manuscripts and clinical guidelines, the full-time Senior Communications Manager - Science Media Relations will develop strategic communication plans, secure media coverage, and cultivate journalist relationships while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Implement multi-year strategic communication plans for scientific publications and clinical guidelines
• Develop news releases, media pitches, and multimedia assets to promote scientific research and the Association's initiatives
• Supervise the Science Media Relations team and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance communication efforts

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Communications or a related field
• Five years of experience in writing, editing, and translating scientific research for the public
• Five years of experience in managing media relations and securing earned media coverage
• Five years of project management experience, including handling multiple concurrent projects
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
