Senior Communications Manager

Job Summary

To support the promotion of scientific research and guidelines, the full-time Senior Communications Manager - Science Media Relations will implement strategic communication plans, develop media materials, and cultivate journalist relationships, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement multi-year strategic communication plans to promote scientific manuscripts and clinical guidelines
• Create news releases, media pitches, and multimedia assets to translate scientific research for the media and public
• Supervise and mentor team members while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to enhance communication efforts

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Communications or a related field
• Five (5) years of experience in writing and editing, specifically translating scientific research for public consumption
• Five (5) years of experience in managing media relationships and securing earned media coverage
• Five (5) years of project management experience, including the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
