Senior Communications Manager

Job Summary

To support the promotion of scientific research and guidelines, the full-time Senior Communications Manager - Science Media Relations will develop strategic communication plans, manage media relations, and translate complex scientific information for the public, all while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Implement multi-year strategic communication plans to promote scientific manuscripts and clinical guidelines
• Develop news releases, media pitches, and multimedia assets to enhance the visibility of scientific research
• Secure earned media coverage by establishing relationships with journalists and collaborating with internal teams

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Communications or a related field
• Five (5) years of experience in writing and editing, specifically translating scientific research for public consumption
• Five (5) years of experience managing media relations and securing earned media coverage
• Five (5) years of project management experience, including the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Five (5) years of proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
