Senior Communications Manager

Job Summary

To support the promotion of scientific research and enhance media relations, the full-time Senior Communications Manager - Science Media Relations will implement strategic communication plans, develop media materials, and cultivate relationships with journalists in a flexible, home-based environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute multi-year strategic communication plans to promote scientific manuscripts and clinical guidelines
• Create media materials, including news releases and multimedia assets, to effectively communicate scientific research to the public
• Supervise team members and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize communication outreach

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Communications or a related field
• Five years of experience in writing and editing, particularly in translating scientific research for public consumption
• Five years of experience in managing media relations and securing earned media coverage
• Five years of project management experience, including handling multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
