Senior Communications Manager

Job Summary

To promote scientific manuscripts and clinical guidelines, the full-time Senior Communications Manager - Science Media Relations will implement multi-year strategic communication plans, develop media resources, and secure earned media coverage while working in a flexible, home-based environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and implement communication strategies to promote scientific research and clinical guidelines
• Secure media coverage and cultivate relationships with journalists to enhance the Association's visibility
• Supervise and mentor team members, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to optimize communication efforts

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Communications or a related field
• Five years of experience in writing and editing, with a focus on translating scientific research for public understanding
• Five years of experience in managing media relations and securing earned media coverage
• Five years of project management experience, handling multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
