Senior Communications Manager

Job Summary

To support the promotion of scientific research and guidelines, the full-time Senior Communications Manager will implement strategic communication plans, develop media materials, and cultivate relationships with journalists in a flexible, home-based role.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement multi-year strategic communication plans to promote scientific manuscripts and clinical guidelines
• Secure earned media coverage and establish relationships with journalists to enhance the Association's visibility in cardiovascular and brain health
• Supervise team members and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize communication strategies and outreach

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Communications or a related field
• Five years of experience in writing and editing scientific content for public audiences
• Five years of experience in media relations and securing earned media coverage
• Five years of project management experience, handling multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
