Senior Communications Manager

Job Summary

To support the promotion of scientific research and clinical guidelines, the full-time Senior Communications Manager in Science Media Relations will implement strategic communication plans, develop media materials, and cultivate relationships with journalists while working in a flexible, home-based environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop news releases and media pitches to promote scientific manuscripts and clinical guidelines
• Collaborate with internal teams to optimize communications and amplify the Association's mission
• Supervise and mentor members of the Science Media Relations team while managing media opportunities

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Communications or a related field
• Five years of experience in writing, editing, and translating scientific research for public consumption
• Five years of experience managing media relations and securing earned media coverage
• Five years of project management experience, including handling multiple concurrent projects
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
